The City of White Rock has a property
tax prepayment plan. As a property owner, you may sign up for monthly
automatic deductions from your bank account.
• Ten monthly payments are collected on the first of the
month—August through May.
• There are no withdrawals in June and July.
• There is no fee for this service.
• You can withdraw from the plan at any time.
The amount of the monthly payment is based on an estimate of next
year’s taxes. The payment amount which corresponds to your
Home Owner Grant eligibility is printed on your Tax Notice at the
bottom of column A, B or C. The installment amount is automatically
updated each year.
You must provide written notice 10 days in advance to start or
stop the automatic payments or for any changes to bank account information.

Important Information About Prepayments
When you receive your Tax Notice in May, it will show your current
year’s taxes, less the total of your prepayments. You
are still responsible for paying any unpaid tax, as well as applying
for the Home Owner Grant (if eligible) by the due date. If
you have overpaid, you may request a refund. Overpayments not refunded
will carry forward and be applied to the next tax year.
